This hoody is a lifesaver. I really love it and it helps my anxiety and sensory issues. My favourite part is the oversized hood. It makes me feel like I’m in a cave! Great product!
I do not have a disability or adhd. I'm a "normal" person with high anxiety and high empath syndrome. I was really hesitant to buy from Thera because I read a lot of reviews saying customers got damaged product, but I had no issues! It arrived in a timely manner and is exactly as advertised. It came with a nice bag to store your jacket and overall good packaging.
I wanted to wait a few weeks before reviewing and I have to say this jacket has definitely lowered my anxiety. I don't really notice how much it helps until I take it off and I immediately want to put it back on and never take off. It's a subtle help for me. It isn't like it instantly takes away all your anxiety it is just calming. It's kind of addicting to wear. If I'm in a stressful situation my first thought is "I wish I had my weighted jacket on," or "how soon until I can go home and wear my jacket?"
The weight isn't too heavy and it feels kind of awkward in the beginning, but I got used to it pretty quick. I was initially worried that the hood would tug on my neck, but it doesn't and you don't really notice the hood. The zipper is easy as well.
The first time I wore it, it definitely warmed me up really fast. I was worried that I would always be too hot in it, but after the next few times I could wear it comfortably without overheating, however I would not recommend physical activities while wearing. Which brings me to my next point, it's warm lol. I was outside in -12° with high winds and nothing penetrated…
I gave these hoodies to 3 adult children who all lived the weight and warmth.

This hoodie is as perfectly comfortable as described. It arrived in a fabric bag and I immediately put it on and didnt want to take it off! I love wearing it to lounge at night. Very happy with my purchase!
This jacket is warm and made with quality materials. It is literally a wearable weighted blanket. There have been times where I did not want to leave my bed due to the comfort my weighted blanket provided. Now I have this jacket that I can wear everywhere!!! Now to only have a wearable weighted shirt for the summer :)
